I Must be a Late-Bloomer”
I
haven’t bloomed as a child,
I
haven’t bloomed as a teenager,
I haven’t bloomed as a young adult,
I haven’t bloomed as an adult,
I haven’t bloomed in my 30’s, nor
in my 40’s, nor at age of 57!
I create, I think creatively &
freely, I write freely & creatively, I create, I create & I write,
And I sit and reflect, and I sit and I
ponder,
I
haven’t bloomed, yet all I know is that by every breath I take, I become more
set in my open-mindedness,
Yes,
the older I get, the more set I become in my open-mindedness, if that makes any
sense!
And that, the more I reveal myself, the
fewer friends stay around, GO FIGURE!
The more I explain myself, the more
confused they become!
Perhaps I am a ‘?’, in the Persian way, ‘reverse the question mark’!, English way’?’, Small ‘?’, Large
’?’
Does not matter, because no matter what, I stay as a ‘?’
I
have always been me,
By the passing
of time,
I
have become simply more of me,
But,
I am still the same old me.
I haven’t bloomed YET, YET I am Free!
I don’t wish to breathe the polluted
air,
I am only interested in breathing a
different kind of air, a pure air,
An air that helps one to see clearly,
and to being seen clearly,
To breathe freely, the gift that no one
can give to me except me.
The air that beckons not necessary agreements or approval, but tolerance and respect. And free from
judgment.
Do you think I am a loser?
No!
I must be a late-bloomer!
I
must wait & see!

I need to learn my life lessons Right and Left,
Just
like a garden that produces beautiful flowers left and right!
And
that my friend is the meaning of blossoming in life.

True, I might be a late-bloomer,
But
did you see my soil?!
Did
you see my roots?
Did
you see my seeds?
Did
you see my seedlings?
Did
you see my buds?
Did
you see my half open flowers?
Did
you see my buds trying to bloom, yet far from blooming,
Perhaps
afraid of the inevitable withering which follows every bloom.
Did
you see ME?!
I
am here, standing tall like a bamboo, bending and not breaking, Free as a bird!
Did
you know that I have bloomed many times before?
That is me!
