"WHY"

Does anybody know, who I am?
Will all our lives just be, another scam?
I simply sit and think, to conclude
-Are we all doomed?
Refrain: Just how the world would be if we could understand?
Why are there so many problems?
Why's everyone so depressed?
Good friends try to help,
But they only do their best.
We're all so lonely,
So sensitive and sad.
How can we cooperate to keep this world from going bad…?
Why?
Why?
Why is this place so complex?
Why?
Why?
Why are we all so hexed?
Let people get to know you
They're not as shallow as you see.
Show off all you've got
Be the best you can be.
(Guitar solo)
Refrain: Just how the world would be, if we could understand...
Why?
Why?
Why is this place so complex?
Why?
Why?
Why are we all so hexed?
Try not to throw our lives away,
Unless we're willing to pay the cost.
Let's have some better lives lived
Than some better ones lost.
~Music alone~
We're all stuck behind a curtain
Of beads and memories.
Why are we all so scared of simply being seen?
~Pause/Music~
Refrain: Just how the world would be, if we could understand!
Why. (No voices, just musical tune of WHY.)
Why. (No voices, just musical tune of WHY.)
Why. (Sang.)
“INSIGNIFICANT”

All
my life I’ve been seen as
-The
small one.
-The
shy one.
-
The insignificant.
I
want people to see me for who I am.
Not
this.
But
should I make a wish
-Is
my wish, insignificant?
I
look upon the night sky and see
-A
shooting star.
I
look up again and foresee
What
would happen?
If
I would make a wish-
Or
is my wish-insignificant.
I’m
left here with
A
fortune cookie in my hand
It
reads: “Make a wish.”
This
is left torn in my dish!
But
should I make a wish
-Of
insignificance.
Do
you still see me
-As
the insignificant.
Can’t
you see that I’m lost and scared?
Can
this life be bared?
So
you see,
I’m
no insignificant.
I am significant.
"SWORDS AND SHIELDS"

Weapons of war
Bombs of mass destruction
Do we need these anymore
In Our world of seduction
To go back to Shakespeare
...swords and shields
We still have them
here...............
We all have our swords in
hand
-our shields cover our
heart
We fight for our land
The is the action that
will only keep us apart.
Nobody can see who you are
Take off the mask.
You can't get very far.
Just take the shield down.
Chorus:
Drop your shields
Drop your swords
Be yourself
Speak your own words
Dance to a beat of a
different drummer
Hum to the song of a
different hummer.
Let people get to know you
Don't be so afraid
They're not as shallow as
you see
Don't let your life go and fade!
Chorus:
Drop your shields
Drop your swords
Be yourself
Speak your own words
Dance to a beat of a
different drummer
Hum to the song of a different hummer.
“Behind”

Behind
all my faults
Behind
all my dreams
Behind
my green eyes
Behind
my red hair
There’s
a vulnerable person
Who
tries to help, and tries to care.
Behind.
Behind.
Behind
all my trophies
Behind
all my talents
I’m
insecure
I
sick of it all
I’m
sick of the friendships,
That
just stumble and fall.
(GUITAR)
Does
anyone really see?
What’s
behind it all?
What’s
inside of me?
Can
you really see…?
Behind.
Behind.
I
seem aloof
I
look kind of shy
Inside
I’m just
About
to cry.
Behind
the hidden feelings
Behind
my hard head
I’m
just about to crack
I’m
ready to lose it
I
want my old life back
I
want to let it all out!
But
behind….
I’m
crazy
Emotional
Almost
mad
But
on the outside I’m not really that bad.
But
now I have come out
I
came out to shout
I
came out to cry
But
you don’t understand
What’s
behind…
I,
Sienna Mae Heath am a musician and a writer. I was born in Gravette, Arkansas on
October 10, 1989, which makes me 13 years old. I come from a family of artists,
so consequently I’ve gotten into the arts as well.
I have played the cello since I was
eight years old. I started playing the piano, even before the cello at age six.
I composed my own tunes on the cello and on the piano, and performed them for
friends and family a lot. During this time, I have taken singing lessons in and
out of school. In “The Keystone Girls Choir” I was a 1st Soprano, but in my
school chorus I was an Alto for some time. In the spring of 1998, my “Keystone
Girls Choir” director, Dr. Shade, took the boys and the girls in his choirs to
Canada. We performed several times there. When I was in that Choir, I also
performed with them many places in Pennsylvania. I used to dance some too. I
took dancing lessons for a few years in two places. I also choreographed some of
my dances. I also was in some local competitions in relation with music and
writing, and have won many awards for some of the tunes and stories I wrote.
After this time in my life, I wanted to try something new so I took up the
French horn, and then finally, the guitar.
I
started the guitar in fifth grade at the age of ten. I worked with a used
acoustic until the summer of 2003 I got an electric guitar. In 2003, I wrote
over 15 songs in less than four months. The songs and lyrics just kept coming to
me. I started recording in my very own room with a small recording studio at the
beginning of the summer of ’03. My style can probably best be defined as soft
rock, but I’ll let you form your own opinion as you listen to my first CD.
I
haven’t forgotten about my other instruments though. I still am in my school
orchestras and band. I also have just completed my first year in the Pocono
Junior String Orchestra. I have learned a lot from this new orchestra, and I am
continuing to go back.
You
may think that I am an “all work, no fun” person, but really I’m still a
regular teenager in other ways. I like to spend time with friends, and go to the
mall, the pool, out to eat and just to have a good time when I’m not working.
But my biggest obstacle that I have to get over is balancing work and fun.
Sometimes, I forget too much about one, and it’s hard to get back into
balance.
…I have
two things that I hope can get me far in this world, and they are my music, and
my writing. I love composing and writing lyrics. I’ve played instruments and
written poems and stories since I could pick up a pencil or play a scale on the
piano. I hope you enjoy my first album, which I have worked much on. I look
forward to producing more new albums, which I hope to improve as I go.
